Photograph of a view of the west side of Charles F. Lummis' rock home, "El Alisal" in Highland Park, June 29, 1928. The large stone house stretches across the image at center but is mostly hidden from view by a line of tall, leafy trees. A chimney can be seen on the roof at left, while a cylindrical tower can be seen at right. Tall grass covers the ground around the light-colored building.
Photograph of an exterior view of the Southwest Museum from Sycamore Grove Park, June 3, 1929. The museum can be seen in the background at center. It is a tall, light-colored structure with a rectangular tower at right and rows of arch-shaped windows along the walls. In the foreground, the tops of many trees can be see. Two small houses can be seen near the edge of the trees in the foreground. Compares to CHS-36391, which shows a very similar scene.
