Two small houses can be seen near the edge of the trees in the foreground. Compares to CHS-36391, which shows a very similar scene.

A layer of water covers the intersection extending to the far right. The water level in the background at left appears significantly lower. At right, a row of homes can be seen along the street. In the extreme background at left, a series of trees can be seen near a line of utility poles. At least two automobiles can be seen parked along the curve. Photoprint reads: "Looking southwest from the intersection of Aldama Street and Buchanan Street, during the rain of Feb. 4, 1931. This condition will be corrected by the Annandale Boulevard and York Boulevard Storm Drain System".
