Photograph of rain at Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevard, November 3, 1928. A flooded street can be seen in the foreground, as well as several houses. More houses can be seen in the middle, and trees can be seen growing between them. A hillside can be seen in the distance, and numerous houses can be seen built on the hillside. The sky above the hillside appears cloudy.
Photograph of hillside homes, possibly on Dundee Drive off North Vermont Avenue, Hollywood, March 11, 1930. Three large homes can be seen built on a bush-filled hill. The home to the left of center is at least two-stories tall and features balconies and a grass lawn in front. A path leads up to the home to the right of center, while the third home can be partially seen around the side of the hill at right. A paved road leads up the hill from the left foreground towards the right. One utility pole can be seen next to the road at right, while a palm tree frond is visible in the extreme right foreground.
Photograph of paving on Sunset Boulevard east of Serrano Avenue, 1930. At center, a wide stretch of paved road is separated by a narrow rift that extends down its center into the distance. Homes and palm trees line the sidewalks left and right. The surface of the street pictured was two-inch Warrenite-Bitulithic on a six-inch Portland Cement concrete base.
