Photograph of a view of Western Avenue looking north from Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, ca.1927. Automobiles and a cable-car navigate the street. To the right, a sign for the William Fox Studio is visible behind a one-story strip of shopfronts on the corner that shade the sidewalk with cloth canopies that extend over their show windows. To the left, a billboard advertising the Innes Shoe Co., as well as Camel cigarettes, is partially visible while a woman walks along the sidewalk beside it. Utility poles line both sides of the street and mountains are visible in the background.
